Canned food will run out…. bullets will run out. You need to know edible foods/tracking and hunting and fashioning weapons out of anything… and knowing how to use them. Stored food and weapons are more of a liability than most think. They can and will draw lots of unwanted attention. When is comes to shooting or dying… people around you will know what you have whether you like it or not. Painting a target on yourself, if you truly understand people this doesnt end well for either.
Cody is awesome, always full of great ideas, always entertaining and fun to watch. Rice and beans will keep you alive for a very, very long time. There’s not really anything in tuna that is essential and most tuna cans don’t really need a can opener these days, at least not the tuna available in the stores where I shop.
i dont really have to eat rats i can eat rabbits and shoot them with my pellet gun last time when the hurricane ike came the rabbits hid under my house they made holes and came out like 2 days later and then my step dad said hey shoot one of those they taste good
If its a fresh body hey sounds like food. Ribs on the grill, rump roast in the oven, thigh steak and eggs for breakfast. Sounds better than the rat dinner.
only 7% of population prepared? that means maybe 93% could die off quickly from malnutrution or fighting over limited resources? so when thats all over, might be plenty of resources left to go around for whoever survives long enough and manages to “start things up again”
Since people like bwarrior have no clue how to make a battery, or a solar panel, or a generator… I’m not going to take the time to explain how just because mass production will be stopped for a while, it does not mean we’ll be without the means to create systems we need. I can make a lead acid battery. I can make solar panels… hell, I can make the silicon needed to make solar panels… I can make a generator…. you can live like its the stone age if you like… us engineers won’t.
Patriots republic “you should always have more than one of anything..redundancy is key… but the SteriPen is far more useful than bleach or iodine tablets… because in an extended situation… you can run out of bleach and iodine tablets… and at least, with the SteriPen, you have something that can last for years. Mines been good for going on 18 months… did you drop yours off a cliff? Step on it? Seriously, my battery operated technology will outlast your… what is it you say you use? “

Someone left a reply on here weather you could kill a rabbit with a pellet gun? I have killed a squrrel with a pellet gun but reently tried to hunt them in the tree had direct hits and the animal ran away. If I were in a survival mode that would be devistating I would not rely on that as my first choice. It is a great choice for birds lizards mice rats but shooting up a tree you loose too much velocity to the affects of gravity. Learning snare trapping methods and a 22 riffle would be best IMHO.
Sorry, I have my SteriPen that is battery powered… I have rechargeable batteries and flexible solar panels to charge my batteries. This is much easier to carry and more efficient to use than bleach. Bleach is good to have around, but not necessarily for water purification. You also should have a filter for your water that can be back flushed rather than require changing.. this way, it can be used for years before you ACTUALLY need to change it.
I save my bottles 2 liter bottles I place 5 drops of bleach in them and date them then store them in the plastic crates the bottling co uses. Water stored this way is good for 2 years if its out of date you can wash and use for other uses. Store water you never know what may come your way and for how long. I have ways to get food too I have a pellet bb gun with lazer site I can hunt for food with that I also have hand guns rod and reel plenty of hooks and additional line I can rig up bottle.
Plastic bags as mitts? Cool. But why not just buy rubber gloves?
when shtf im moving in with cody !!!
If all people had like 1/10th of Cody’s brain….

@purpleheart14 Also another good source of Vitamin C is pine needles and making it into a tea.
You can have fresh vegetation if you sprout lentils. They are loaded with vitamin C.

Excellent video! Thanks Cody!
