shop.lesstroud.ca In 2001 Stroud produced two one-hour specials for the science news show @discovery.ca. These segments follow the same format as Survivorman with Stroud filming his own survival in the wilderness. They were originally broadcast as daily segments over the course of one week but were repackaged as two one-hour specials titled Stranded.[2] The popularity of these pilots spawned the show Survivorman. Stroud teamed up with producer Dave Brady to produce 10 episodes of the show which began airing in 2004.[2]

@TrumpetHero11 You have to be old enough to pay for it. It is considered experimental in the UK and rather dangerous.
i heard that certain pines are toxic if used for tea…apparently white pine is the most common used that is safe, but i wonder which here in oz are ok? any thoughts? anyone tried gum leaf tea?!
tow big mistakes he makes: splashing water up over himself when digging ice hole (should’ve cut a short length of timber, sharpened the end and hit it through with end of axe); second mistake is relying on a lure for fishing. i’ve noticed in other les vids his fishing skills are really lacking. bait of some kind is the only way to go under these conditions unless you know there are big schools of fish. you need to watch for smoke inhalation in a tight shelter over long periods – i know from xp
8:00 Keep ur hole from freezing over night… -_-
Arctic Tundra, Costa Rica and some place in the wilderness…Colorado I think. But I’m probably wrong about that one. The episode where he’s so happy that he caught not one fish but two!
I think the best thing to an axe or a knife would be a good and strong folding saw.
That was in Costa Rica.
@mthreat13dffl69 …That’s just not true.
thats just like minnesota wtf thats like daily life in the winter here!!!!!
wtf how is even possible to do that??
Might be a little bit chilly to take a dump in 30 minus..!
I love the cynicism about catching anything. Anyone who’s tried to catch or snare anything with limited gear can sympathize.
He’s not much of a fisherman but he caught several in season 3 of survivorman, arctic tundra
yeah, that was pretty funny watching him trying to spear those fish in where ever the hell it was. haha your right though.
I never see him catch fish.
he knows what cambrium is! haha awsome!
Stroud’s proverbial bad luck at fishing strikes again
That’s what I said, 38+40=78.
dude, i dont think you have to be that old, my dad got it when he was 38
56 or 78.
but think about it there only wat 75 to 110 calories sure they are good and healy but hes is burning more than 2000 to 3000 or more a day he has to be eating more than that but hey hes is fantasic so i belive he caould do it now bear probably coudln’t
Nice big DV camcorder, I think it’s a JVC. I wonder how the camera didn’t freeze at -29 degrees (or lower). I mean, the plane had to be covered not to freeze. The camera has a lot of mechanical parts. A little bit of condensation at these kind of temperatures, and it would freeze solid. I have no idea how he pulled this off. He should endorse camera equipment as well, I guess.
He had energy bars. One for each day.
he should get lasik surgery, i hav trouble putting my contacts in when i go camping too. how old do you hav to be to get it?
does he ever eat???
